Reunited and it feels so good

After two and a half weeks of training, with absolutely no cell phone service, my hubby is back home! Let me tell you this, after only two weeks of spotty communication with Dustin, I definitely am not looking forward to how long a one-year deployment will feel when he leaves.

Dustin pulled in at around 4:30 this morning, and I was more than happy to wake up that early to welcome him home! We actually stayed up for a few hours catching up, and then slept in until around 10:00. We did some shopping around town today, stopping at Books-a-million to pick out some books during their going out of business sale. We scored a handful of cookbooks I have had my eye on, along with both Tucker Max books, all for 20% off list price. We went window shopping at the Pet Warehouse, where I solidified the fact that I would never want to own a pet bird, reptile, or insect. They had some giant tarantulas there - creepy!

I took a slight detour from my healthy eating routine as we headed to Red Lobster for some endless shrimp dinner. This girl can not pass up some delicious coconut shrimp with pina colada sauce! After dinner we headed back home and have been spending the evening watching some football and just enjoying each others' company. It is too bad he came back just in time for us both to get back to work tomorrow, but I am definitely hoping the week flies by so that we can enjoy a full weekend together starting on Friday.
