I am linking up with Hadar and Kristin for their 11 in '11 Linky Party. Click the link above to join in on the fun as well!
11. Favorite movie you watched:
Midnight in Paris. My family and I just watched the movie the other day, and it brought back so many great memories of my study abroad in Paris. I would love to go back there so badly someday!
10. Favorite TV series:
How I Met Your Mother - I love the characters, the jokes, and the funny scenarios they get themselves into.
9. Favorite restaurant:
Marrakesh restaurant is a fabulous Moroccan restaurant that is truly a diamond in the rough in our small little town. They have the best steak kabobs and cucumber salad there!
8. Favorite new thing you tried:
I am absolutely obsessed with the coconut chicken I made a few weeks ago, because I love coconut! I have made this recipe again for my family back in Georgia, and I'm going to try and find a way to bake instead of fry it so that I can enjoy it more often in 2012.
7. Favorite gift you got:
My parents got me a Cricut machine for Christmas! I haven't opened it up to get started yet, but I have high hopes after hearing from other friends that have one and love it! I can't wait to start crafting some nifty projects - maybe some subway art for the kitchen?
6. Favorite thing you pinned:
My love... canvas that is now hanging on our gallery wall above our family room sofa.
5. Favorite blog post:
I recapped my Jane Wayne day with Dustin's unit, where we got to climb inside all the military vehicles and shoot simulated weapons.
4. Best accomplishment:
Completing my 5K race. I know, for most people, that is nothing. But for me, it was the first time I ran a race since I did cross country in the 7th grade.
3. Favorite picture:
Dustin and I at his Dining In Night - basically his last Marine Corps Ball if he does indeed end his active duty after this deployment is in the books!
2. Favorite memory:
Our entire four day vacation to Las Vegas, Nevada. We soaked in all the sights, had fun trying our hand at Blackjack, and can't wait to plan a return trip - maybe with friends or family next time!
1. Goal for 2012:
I know this is so cliche, but I really want to get in shape. I did a 5K in early December, and it felt so good to have that accomplishment. I would love to totally wow my husband after a year in the Middle East as well!
Thanks for linking up!!!!
ReplyDeleteI do not like coconut. That leaves more for you.
I hope your hubby comes home soon. You two are so cute!!! And a 5K is 5 more than I could ever run so you go on and make that your goal for both of us. Or should we, YOU, go for a 10K?

@Kristin Thanks for thinking of such a fun list for me to piggyback onto! A 10K sounds like a lofty goal, but isn't that what resolutions are for? Maybe I'll go for it!
